Greetings all, This is not directly related to Vue but it is definately related in some way, we are giving away a 3Dlabs Wildcat II 5000 to the 10th person that sends the correct answer to the following question: How many polygons was the Terrain Object I used for the review? You can read the review here: http://www.cgfocus.com/ArticleDetails.cfm?ArticleID=123 Good Luck! The CG Focus Team www.cgfocus.com

Hi Jean-Francois, Well, this sounds cool, and I figured I'd give it a shot. :) The review seems rather thorough, but I noticed you didn't make any mention of testing it with Vue. Did you test it and have problems and not want to mention that, or did you just simply not try it with Vue at all?

Hey all, The giveaway is over...in fact it took a few minutes only to find a winner! :) Mike, I tested it with Vue and since there was the same issue as with my GeForce2 I decided not to mention it...it is definately a Vue issue. However, it runs great so far with the QuadroDCC, my new favorite card! Oh! i run it with the 21.83 and I would love to see a version of Vue that takes advantage of such a card cuase it eats even more polygons than the Wildcat in about any 3D software! Cheers!

I was infact thinking of getting this card sometime. Been using 3Dlab card all along. If its not too much of time taken, can you let me know what problem it has with Vue?...is it the OpenGL thingy again. The norm 3DLab Oxygen runs okay with Vue in OpenGL. Thanks in advance :)

Yeah it's the same 'ol OpenGL thingy...tried 2 different drivers and even in compatibility mode. The card is great but a tad pricey for DCC and I didn't see much of a difference with my GeForce2 GTS. In LightWave and 3ds max it's a different story. :) Cheers!

The Vue 4.03 patch is now in beta, and it hopes to clear up most of the OpenGL issues. Keep your fingers crossed for it to do that! :)

Well, I am already sending the Wildcat card to the winner and I installed a QuadroDCC last week and it runs like a charm in Vue...I hope the 4.03 won't screw it up hehe. Cheers!

After installing 4.03 beta in XP over 4.02b, my cursor became "black"...?...reboot, became white with intermittent display of bluegreen inside the arrow head. I rendered a file and exported it as a bmp. It indicated that it did but the bmp image file was never found in its save location. Tried a number of time and same result. Reinstall back 4.02b...than reboot. Run Vue 4.02b and it ask me if I would like to start off with tutorial. I click "no" and I'm back to my Window Desktop. Tried again, said "yes" this time, same thing. Decided to copy my backup to Vue again and the same thingy happen. Ta ta!...thats all folks! So much for 4.03 beta.

Yikes. :( Bill, please be sure to report those things to E-on. The more info they have to work with, the better chance there is that they can get it worked out before the final.

LOL!...Varian, will do. I just reinstalled Vue 4 and update all the way to 4.02b. I'm happy its all back to normal. Daren't wanna try 4.03. Anyway, it may only be my system. Btw, Vue 3.1 runs on XP ust fine :) Bill

I will keep away from the beta version...works fine here with 4.02 under XP and the 21.83 detonators! At least I see 2 of my bugs have been fixed in the 4.03 it shows that E-on is listening. :) Cheers!
