I'd been meaning to get this one out sometime around the release of SlayBelle. That was January, I believe. Sorry for the wait. Comments?

she looks interesting, i would put a semi wrinkled texture on her (which i happen to have! g) i like the mouth. and the bottom eyelid flipped out like that is good for a change. btw, is there a morph to smooth out the crease between the nose edges and the cheek? a lot of times shadows (like in the render above) make it look like the nose is just stuck onto the face.

"Subtle clues is not a specialty of mine. " um, yep, me either... what did that mean?

I meant, it's based on an actual person (the actress who plays Willow on "Buffy").

oh! yes SlayBelle does resemble the actress a lot... i'm not a BTVS watcher so you should have held out on the answer to the clues for this one till the real fans woke up! :) (if i recall correctly, that actress has a slimmer face than the pic above, though you got her "sorry" looking eyes spot on!)

Pretty close. Allyson has fairly prominent cheekbones...I can't quite tell from the angle of your render if that's where the crease is coming from or what. Maybe thin the upper lip a touch more. The brows need to be little higher, and she keeps them very thin. I think her nose is bigger too (i.e. less pinched). There's a fairly good face shot at http://www.buffyupn.com/player_witch.html. The other pic they have is too airbrush perfect so its not a good one for reference (she never looks like that on the show). I'm sure you can find good pics of her on Buffy fan sites to work with.

This looks great! I'm a big Buffy fan... I admit it... I watch it fanatically... so sue me. ;) The only thing that I can picture differently is that her face should be a bit longer may, and the chin slighly less rounded... I think that would solve what AprilYSH pointed out, the actual Allyson Hannigan's face seems slimmer... but I think it's because it's longer.

From the photos I've been using, I think either AH's weight or water retention varies wildly. Also, I think her face didn't reach its adult proportions until last year. WTB's blood, sweat and tears modeling Michelle Trachtenberg for Vicky were noble but likely to be out of date in another four months. The chief complication in modeling AH's Irish mug (gotta love a show where a milk-skinned redhead plays a Rosenberg and an olive-skinned brunette of Ashkenazic descent plays a Summers) is getting those low-slung cheeks and gently rounded jawline just right. To put it bluntly, she does not have prominent cheekbones when seen from a 3/4 or 7/8 view -- unless she's smiling or doing something else that pulls up her facial muscles, and that's bunched up soft tissue you're looking at, not underpinning structure. Most beauties (for want of a better term) have high cheekbones and a disappearing jaw; AH's cheeks are mostly at the sides of her mouth. The chin is actually more rounded on AH; I just didn't get around to widening it at the base. Other corrections needing doing: the nose needs to rotate upwards on the X axis to reveal more nostril and tilt the tip, the irises need downscaling (either through a morph or editing Nod's 'Anna' texmap), and the bridge should be narrowed at the top (most bridges don't widen as they rise). The crease that AprilYSH mentions in the first reply here is intentional, another Irish ethnic trait (like the long distance between nose and upper lip; I had a manager once who looked like the early 20thc 'gorilla' cartoon Irish stereotype). I think I'm going to mess with X-scaling the entire head next; it looks too narrow.
