You can download our free alphabet model, which has the whole alphabet and numbers, uppercase and lowercase. All in .3ds format already modeled. Each letter and number is a separate model. Sharen I think that is the right link, if not go to www.sams3d.com and go to the freebies page.Attached Link: http://www.armanisoft.ch/webdesign/elefont/elefont.htm
Found the link already. Check it out...Attached Link: http://www.stmuc.com/thbaier/
For 3D object conversion I use 3Dwin 4.0. Its free and usually all I need. Download the software and the demo key and only use 3DWin (not the OGL version). Tried it on an Elefont DXF export. Converted it to OBJ with 3DWin, the OBJ imported just fine in Poser... Maxx :-)In Bryce you have to choose the object, select the E (edit) button and once you get the smoothing box hit Ctrl+D (not sure what it is on a Mac) and you will get the export ability, scroll down, choose .obj and you're set. I regularly use Bryce for conversions. However you can only do that if it's an object that has been imported into bryce - doesn't work with booleans or other bryce-built objects.
BT taught me the "export trick" in Bryce: 1) after importing your file to Bryce, click the little "E" to the right of your model 2) In edit mode you can first smooth your object by clicking the smooth sphere. Then 3) Click CTRL + D - et voila! your export menu pops up. One problem is that Poser won't IMPORT the .obj files created in Bryce. But I work around that by using another file format that Poser reads. Good luck. :) Britt

Maybe some of you are looking to go out of your minds from not knowing what to download and test? Well, then visit the "Persistance Of Vision" site, home of the free POV-ray render program. Make sure you visit their link "Graphic Links"... Happy hunting Maxx :-)This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Our own cookies make user accounts and other features possible. Hey does anybody know of a good utility to take some typed text and create a 3d object to import in to Poser. It would be nice to have it be able to all your fonts you have on your system like True Type Fonts and the like. ANy help here would be great. Thanks!
