It will work only if you have the original image file which the Poser .BUM file was created with, such as a .jpg, .bmp, tiff, etc... 1) In the Summary of Materials, select the material you want. In most cases in Poser, the skin texture is called skin. 2) double click on that or right click on it and select Edit Material. 3) The Material Editor will open. Find the Bump tab and click on that. 4) A bump editor will open. Right click on the preview, and select Edit Function from the drop down. 5) A new window will open. In that, put a check in the Mapped Values box (actually a little circle), and below that a button labelled "Picture" will open. Click on that, and browse to where the image file is which you want to use. 6) Click OK to exit that window. 7) Now, next to the bump preview, right click on the Filter preview, and select Load Filter. The filter library will open. Select the Other Filters library and find the one called "Invert". It has a line going from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. This inverts all the blacks and whites, since Vue handles bump maps opposite that of Poser. Click OK. 8) In the Gain box next to the Bump preview, set it real low, like maybe around .002 and then click OK, and do a test render. This should do it. If it looks strange, try selecting a value of Y= -1.000 for the image size. Then reapeat this for all your other parts. You can also save these new materials with bumps included, for re-use later, and to avoid having to do this every time. Hope this helps...

Hello all, Can anyone please explain the process (step by step) of applying a bump map to a poser figure's skin? I know that you cannot simply import a pz3 file into Vue4 with bumps because Vue does not recognize them. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
