Subject: Help! Can't Open Rendered Frames (Bryce 5/Mac)

Help! I'm rendering some animations with Network Render. The networking seems to work great until the process is finished. But about 25% of the time, the Network Render Manager fails to complete the final step: it doesn't assemble the rendered frames into a QuickTime movie.

This is really frustrating. I can see the frames, but can't open or convert them (as far as I know). They're listed as "B5Axiom Document" files, with extension ".frm".

Is there any way to open these rendered frame files myself? If so, I could import them into QuickTime Pro MoviePlayer and convert them like a PICT sequence into a movie.

Help!

Adam

No workarounds in the meantime? What format are those mysterious ".frm" files? Is it something I can convert into an openable graphic file? Thanks, Adam

There's a great workaround, go for a non-proprietary system and some Oxygen Labs stuff. Then you can render fast enough not to need Network Rendering. Just a thought...
