It's fine as a texture, but if you want to get much deeper and realistic results, you should use corel photopaint and go to effects-texture-plastic and play arround with it. here's a sample

Personally, I don't find either one to be "realistic" though I like the effect of Petit's pic more. Either way, playing around is NEVER a bad thing. You think somethings perfect, that is until you try something else... ry is putting final touches on the final touch of the Grudge...

I'll agree with parts of both of the above comments. The part about trying effects is a way of learning. Sometimes it is just another presentation of an old idea. Tell us what your image represents to you. To me it appears as a garden path with shadows.

hmmm, i would like bigger bigger pics, details are disappearing with these small ones. At least 800x600. And fool out, give a shot to every damn dingdalong what photoshop and programs can offer. Pixels are our canvas, programs our brushes. Slenkester, where did you stole that "you think somethings perfect..." line? ...sounds pretty good. Gonna steal and use it. .n

ok this is the original, one of those that i did while walking along..faily nice but a bit boring which is why i played about. cant exactly remember all of what i did to it which is a bit of a bummer but i sort of liked it. it gave it a slight watercolour look about it

Actually, I thought that up on the spot. Wasnt any thinking really, it just kinda flowed. Someone big prolly said it though, probably Ettore Sottsass or someone.
