Hi. Does anyone know of an option, or maybe an action command to randomly position the layers with eachother? I've got say 80 layers, in 1 through 80 positioning, can I randomly reposition them all? by reposition, I meant to randomly move them up and down the ladder of the layer box, so they overlap eachother randomly. Sorry if I make no sense, cause Im having a hard time expressing what I wanna do exactly. Well, if anyone understands me and can help, a gracious thanks will come. thanks for looking and thinking about it anyways if u haven't a clue btw. btw, I'm working with Photoshop 6.0.1 if it makes a difference. ry

bite the bullet and start clikcing and draging. should have thought of that before you got 80 layers ; )

group them into smaller layer sets and reposition those sets?

You see, I want 80 layers, so that's a good thing. It allows me a lot of depth to play with. I'm up to about 70 now, and I'm about to duplicate them all and make a second set. I didn't wanna wait for any answers cause I wanna do everything (thoiugh if someone answered before I started, I'd've done it). Those leaves I posted in the earlier thread are what I've been duplicating. I'm halfway there now, shouldn't be too long. ry

herm... I'll have to look into that one... I like using LOTS of layers whenever possible. Gives me as much control as I can get (control freak speaking, may I take your order?). As for this, I ended having to merge layers to get what I wanted to do done, but it's looking mighty good so far. Hopefully have a completed work of it up tonight, with many screen captures, have a load of Laundry done, and maybe my mom will win at bingo. ry

the ask jeeves search engine REALLY sucks! On the upside, I'm really starting to dig this whole Pink Floyd deal...

How to randomly position leaves: 1. Hold mouse/wacom. 2. Using the arrow tool click on a layer. 3. Close eyes; click on object and drag mouse. Release button when you feel like it. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 79 more times.

Har har har everyone. As it just so happens, the only thing left to do with the entire thing is to add a layer mask to the leaves to create the same sense of depth the ground has, along with adding shadows. Might finish tonight, I got 4 hours to work, and in that time, I gotta find time to install and play Black and White, AHHHHH!!!!!!!
