I really don't understand your question. Are you saying that if you pose two different figures in Poser and they are the same size, and then import them into Bryce one will be smaller than the other? Are you Exporting the models from Poser together or separately? And what file format are you exporting them to? I have done many multiple character exports from Poser and imported them into Bryce with no problem. I export them as .obj files.
I'm exporting/importing them as separate files. For example if one figure is standing and another sitting, then when I import them into Bryce, the sitting figure is as tall as the standing figure. Perhaps I should import them both as one object but it's unclear to me how to separate them for texture mapping. I'm using .obj format. thanks VanQ
This may be the long way of doing it, and if anyone else has an easier way please speak up. But here is how I do it and it works. Export the two figures as one object and then import it into Bryce. Do this before you add anything else to the scene. Once they are in Bryce ungroup the object and deselect one of the figures part by part. This is a bit time consuming, but it's the best thing I've found so far. To deselect the parts just hold down the shift key while clicking on the different parts. Once you have only one figure selected, regroup the parts. Then click on "Edit", and then "Invert Selection" (this is why you do this part before adding anything else to the scene). The other figure should be selected now and also the ground plane and camera. Just deselect the camera and ground plane, and regroup the other figure. And bingo, you have both figures grouped separately and they are the same size. Here is a couple of tips for you also that I have come up with to make things a little easier. First, once you have both figures grouped as separate figures, if you will then group those two sets of groups together this will make sure that they both stay proprotional to one another if you need to change the size of them. And second, if the two figures are touching each other when you pose them in poser then it can be real hard if not impossible to deselect the parts of one without deselcting the parts of the other where they touch. To get around this little problem, after you have posed the two figures in poser use the transition dial on either the x or z axis to move one of the figures away from the other. Then once you have them imported into bryce and separated just slide the one figure back into position next to the other so that they are touching again. Like I said earlier, this may not be the easiest way to do it, but it does work. I hope this has helped.
No problem, I'm glad that I could help. Yea, the idea for moving the figures apart came about after spending about an hour or two one night trying to deselect and select a dancing couple I was working on. And the invert selection is a big help too, especially when it comes to those tiny parts like the fingernails. If you need anything else don't hesitate to ask. Sorry if this has been covered before, I've looked around and didn't find a solution. I get two poser models posed correctly in Poser, then when they are imported into Bryce the objects seem to be normalized to some standard size. Not good for me. Is there a way to ensure (or set) the two object files back to their original size in relation to each other ? Thanks - VanQ
