you should turn off the shadow casting for the right light. also, i'm a bit confused about the main light... where is it? the lamp seams to be on the piano, but judging from the lights on pianist's face, it is somewhere behind him. that way, it's impossible to throw light on her legs like this - lamp seem to be just too far up! her left arm should receive no direct at all from the lamp, being hid behind the body. have you turned off shadow casting for that lamp? also i'd make the light coulour a bit more reddish...
Since were playing with lighting now, may I suggest the following: Add a blue "underlight", positioned at ground level, aimed up at the singer and the pianist. It will need to be positioned at probably half the distance from the piano to the camera so the angle is proper. Then, add a very soft warm straw-colored or yellow-orange light up and to the right to bring out the highlights in the singers hair. This one will probably be an omnidirectional light, not a spot. The point above about the source of the current light is a valid one. You may need to rev up the ambient light on the lamp object to make it work; failing that, position the light inside the lamp globe and allow the light to refract as it comes through the glass. Lighting is a very subtle subject. I recommend, if you wish to pursue these effects, finding a book on theatre lighting and applying some of the principles there. Theyre not that difficult, and I think youll find the results quite amazing.
and, if i may add something about her pose: she is supposed to be leaning on her right arm. thus her right shoulder would be pressed upward, and so be higher than her left. try to sit in this position, in front of the mirror maybe, and you'll see what i mean. her pose is quite complicated one. it's not enough to rotate her hips to sit and set her leg over the other (which is quite good!), it's the whole body involved in that pose. abdomen band and turned, brest pressing her abdomen on one side down, shoulders trying to put the counterweight to stiff right arm... secondly: the overall mood is kinda for some cool jazzy stuff, but she looks as if she's trying to hit that high-c. make her neck and head more like if she was flirting with the audience... (the piano player is already done! ;o))

Well, I fixed the lighting problem--I think. I still need to add the flares for the iol lamp, but I will do that in Photshop. The frame in the background will be different, but I was focusing on fixing the lighting from my last post. Opinions please!
