Do these qualify as simple shape entries? The eggs themselves seem to be okay but does the bowl get in the way? Also any advice on improvement would be great.

2 shapes, ovals, and a circle, yup, it qualifies. I actually quite like the fact that the bowl and some eggs are cut off. I'd say this would be a more than worthy entry into the competition! seven of ry

Thanks for the advice everyone!! I up'ed the contrast by toying around a bit in photoshop and this is the result. I also set up that scheme again without the bowl and took a few more shots using the suggestions here. I'll post those when they come in--hopefully in time to chose one for the entry lol. Oh to have my own dark room and the brain to use it...
