Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
I am really glad you like the tutorials, and that they are helpful and informative. Some of you probably know I was really still bumbling along on most of this stuff until many fine people helped me see the light on some of these same issues. I'm terrible with names, but Lourdes was one of those people who provided encouragement and englightenment. Doug Sturk, Senjin/Paradox, Violetau(!?) are amongst the others.
Excellent tutorial. I have an interesting problem along these lines. When I import another poser character into a scene (using the File->Import->Poser Model), the cameras for the original file are imported as well. What makes it a problem is that there are 2 main cameras in the scene, so when you click on one character you get a different (and jarring) view than the other. Is there any way to change this so that when you import a poser file into a scene you do not import the cameras? Thanks J.B. Settle
I've never done that procedure. Why do you need to Import a Poser figure? If it is a Poser figure, just load it like anything else. You can do this in different ways. 1.) If it is a CR2 figure, just copy it into the appropriate library 2.) If it is a pz3 file, open Poser and open the PZ3 file. Or am I missing something here?
Hi Ron, Great tutorials! They were very clear and self explanatory. In re: to the importing the poser scene...that can be done by going into File, Import, Poser Library/Prop. I have never seen it have more than one main camera before though. Maybe you can do a tutorial on how to add things to the different libraries:-) Lourdes
JB, are you using the Posing Camera? If so, when selecting another figure or a body part of another figure, the camera will "jump" to that figure. Same thing with the Left/Right Hand Cameras. The camera will "jump" to the hand of the figure you've selected. Try using the Main Camera to set up the scene and the Posing, Face and Hand Cameras to tweak your figures.

Thanks again for the compliments and suggestions. I have another one for beginners. It's called "Dress Me." This one lead to an even longer tutorial that will be uploaded at a later date. If you want to remain easily informed, just keep visiting the News Section of my site. You will see a note each time I add something new.. Just click the link, and you're there!By the way, my Internet Service Provider apparently has been having email server problems for a few days. It's at the point where I can't rely on their email. I'm not sure what email address I have listed here at Renderosity, but probably the safest email address to use for me now is: ronaldknights@msn.com That's actually a Hotmail address, and I try to check it once a day.

I've worked on a decent tutorial explaining how you can place two characters in a scene. I'd be interested in your comments. My tutorials are all placed in the Renderosity Tutorial database, or you can reach them directly with the included URL.
