Hello All, I am new here, and would like to know how I could take a JPG, GIF, or TIF digital image of a face and impose it on one of the 3-D characters in Poser 4? I have Photoshop 6 for cropping and manipulation. Do I need some sort of an image map or texture map that needs to be imported into Poser 4? I am really at a loss. The web is filled with all sorts of opinions that are really not clear. Can anyone help? My email is MISSING@IX.NETCOM.COM for the record...please help. Best Wishes, John

I advise you to download uvmapper (i believe at uvmapper.com, but I'm not sure). UVMapper will create a template for any poser figure. Use that template to create a skin with your picture in Photoshop and import it into Poser using the materials function under the Render menu in Poser 4 (see tutorials at Renderosity.com). Anyway, I hope that made any sense.

Try this tutorial it explain how to use photoes of your face to make a Poser texture using the templates you can find on the Poser CD or on DAZ site if you want to use the millennium figures.

The cake one tutorial above is fantastic... but the process is not as easy as she makes it seem (although she does it beautifully!) - I reccomend you watch the lips very carefully, they can be tough to line up. UV mapper is a good idea - make sure you convert the map to RGB mode in Photoshop if you use it. The DAZ Millennium figure maps are great too ... and remember that Vicki, Vicki2, and the Millennium Girls & Boys can all take the same maps. Good luck!
