Subject: Poser and Carrara - Making Meshes

Blacksteel ( ) posted Sat, 24 November 2001 at 8:46 PM · edited Wed, 04 December 2024 at 8:14 PM

Hello folks,

Im trying to create clothing and poseable objects in Carrara, for Poser 4.
The problem I have when I import the body part, is that I always seem to select the body it's self. How does one model around an existing geomitry, and not touch it?

Also, Im wanting to give away some of these files, that I have made. And yet not get into trouble with any company. (Daz) I was wondering how does one make meshes, that conform to Poser figures. And yet not get in trouble with the copying of Geomitrys that I did not make?

Any info on this would be very thankfully apreciated.

You're right, you got to be careful when you make some clothes for existing models . You can get some info about this on DAZ's site (see the link) . Hope this helps a little . litst

Hello Willf2, Great Idea! I have wanted to do the same thing, but I have another problem. I want to separate the model into groups. The groups are needed for conforming clothing. I don't know how to split the model into groups. Can you help? Thanks, Quicksand
