ok thanks people for the breakdown on the code error, following from thip's post. I'll rip that out as soon as possible. For those of you that cant access the textures the direct file urls are as follows. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ambientlight/textures/concrete/ http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ambientlight/textures/metal/ http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ambientlight/textures/naturalground/ I'll get the error sorted, sorry for any problems. Guess I should have learned to hand code from the start!! io

Ripped out the offending css link, that should never have been in there to start with. I normally test my pages with netscape too, but since I put win xp on a couple of weeks back I hadn't reloaded netscape on. Would be the time I get an error wouldn't it! Sorry for page grief, enjoy the textures when you finally get them! :) io

Right, page tested in NS6, page loads fine, although I've noticed a couple of things that don't load, doesn't affect the page render, but they'll have to come out to. original page: http://www.ambientlight.co.uk/downloads/textures/textures.htm

Thanks io, your textures are just awesome! I only have 1 question...what are your copyright restrictions on the textures? I know there are some on your models, but I'd like to know what they are on the textures on the off chance that I should use one of them on a texture map that I create. I'd like to know before I use one of them. Thanks! :o) Laurie

Laurie: fine for all non-commercial artwork

Laurie: fine for all non-commercial artwork, if used commercially then a fee would be due, I'm updating the readme to go with the page now

Thanks io, and does that apply to the resulting render as well as the use of the texture? Some folks are so touchy as to the "whys and wherefores" as far as copyright goes these days, so I wanna be sure :o). Thank you. Laurie

Basically, it would mean if the texture is used in the process of making your final render, and you were making money from that render or use of the texure, in any way, then a fee would be due. If the texture is part of the artistic process then yes. But if the pictures are just for fun, and no money is made from them, render away. io
