I'm only using bryce 4 at the moment,going to get poser soon.What other programs/add-ons should i look into?

Get a modeler. Amapi or Rhino. You might get a good price on Amapi because of wht you have. Rhinois more stable so if you wnat to spend the money or can get the student discount get that. Download the UV mapper it is a lifesaver. Get soem good paint programs. Painter classica and Photoshop LE. come freee with a Wacom graphics tablet. that for about 100$

Check out caligari's Truespace if you can. Don't know if it is beyond your budget constraints. There is a demo at www.caligari.com. I use it to make my models for my Bryce pictures.

I thought there was a free Truespace-one of the older versions. Also try to get 3D World or Computer Arts magazines they have free full version software on some of the cover CDs, and always lots of demos so you can check them out to see what you like.

There's a fine modeler that's free and has a great metaball tool. http://www1.sphere.ne.jp/mizno/main_e.html Its not well documented. I have one tut up on donuts at www.annsartgallery.com/eric.htm

The one thing that comes to mind is to have a good 2D graphics program like PaintShop Pro or Photoshop. With these programs you can create textures and also be able to do some "post" work on your work when you're finished.
