Hi Clay, and thanks for responding! Yes, I have been trying to import via the File menu (which is how I've always done it in the past). So if I go into the create palette, do I just click on an empty space & then "import", or just click on "import"?

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I'm a newbie, so just thought I'd ask. I also did a search of this forum, but didn't see anything exactly like my file importing problem. I am experiencing a problem importing some objects I downloaded in Renderosity's Bryce freestuff area. I would have thought that the objects would be Bryce ready, but for some reason they will not import into Bryce 5 and I keep receiving an error message.
Here's the skinny:
I'm on a Mac G3/Bronze (Lombard), using ZipIt to unzip the files which are of the ".odp" type. If anyone here can please tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'd really appreciate any help or suggestions. Oh and feel free to laugh at the newbie.
Thanks!
Ariannah
