After all the hooha last night, I almost hate to post something for help or advice, but here goes. I used the same figure (Nene 4.1.1), Diane G's Freckles texture and added Allie's hair as in the Kyoko pic. The hair texture has to be 'colored' in Bryce, transmap added, all that, but if you look at the top, you get 'head' shining through or something like it. I tried other colorations (blonde, dark, etc) and I get this transparency on the top of the head on all of them. I don't seem to be able to get a similar look in Bryce with this hair as in Poser. I left all the shadowing 'on' because without it, it falls sorta' flat, but I lowered the density of shadows in general so you get softer shadows on the face. You have to go through and select all the pieces, strands, etc.--as with Yamato's---then color it, and then add the transmap in the second column of the material lab with blend transparency on and transparency added but no percentage. Allie, if you look at it, do you think the lower depth of coloration at the front is due to the trans map--or just the way Bryce renders it? Has anyone else successfully used this hair in Bryce? Maybe it works better in a less closeup image in Bryce. This is still just 'experimentation' in Poser to Bryce for these transmapped hairs, so if anyone has any advice or has used them with different results, please advise. Diane B

Thanks Allie. No, there are never white seams in Bryce. The figure generally comes in textured just as you exported from Poser except for the trans maps. Now, to make those textures more pleasing visually, I usually need to select the 'parts' and retexture them (or, I can choose another texture if it will fit--like an P4 woman texture, etc.). I tried a variety of things with the hair and I suspect it will just look better in Poser (where it looks wonderful) or else use it for other than closeup. Diane B
