You can add groups to figures. But it takes some cr2 editing. First open the model in UVmapper and assign the new groups and materials where needed. Then open the cr2 and add the groups to these areas: 1.)the first list of actors 2.)the second list of actors (the one containing channels) 3.)the list of "addChild" needs to have these added 4.)the list of "Weld" needs to have these added It's easy useing JStallings cr2 editor program. I can't imagine doing it in a text editor. That would be a pain. ScottA
It's in our freestuff section under Utilities. "Cr2 libray editor" by John Stallings. It collapes all of the sections of cr2s into a tree similar to Windows explorer. You can copy and paste whole sections from one cr2 to another with one mouse click. As well as make edits to any one line just like you can using a text editor. It displays the contents of cr2 files in a way that is truly easy on the eyes. It's a gift from heaven if you do a lot of cr2 hacking. ScottA
I find anything edited with cr2 editor causes Poser to crash, so I do all my hacking in a text editor. Mock, we're all assuming you built your figure using a PHI file. If you did it with the hierarchy editor, you'll have trouble edity the geometry.

heyas; last i saw/heard, 1.52 was here in the free stuff (but it got taken down, i hope). the posertech yahoo group is the only current place i know to get the 1.51 cr2 editor. anyway, mock, you can just use uvmapper. grab your heel spur and assign it the proper material (the right one looks as if it's using the skin material.) if you need to put the heel spur in the leg instead of the foot, just assign that group name to it. remember to delete your geometry rsr file after you change things in the obj, so poser will read the new file.
Changing the tack a little, what's the url for the posertech yahoo group? I should really get involved in that some time soon.

Here's the link. It's been a little slow there lately. But the archives are filled with good tricks and ideas. And the files section has some good stuff in there as well. ScottAExcellent! Thanks. I'll check that out.
