DP, I have had that problem. Back in my early days with RDS. Here is the way I work when using RDS. I work for about 10 minutes and save. I increment my file names with numbers, Like this. Save001, Save002, Save003..etc. That way I have many saved versions of my scene. If the current one fails well ya lost about 10 min of work and you load the previous save file. I havent lost anywork since doing my saves this way. Its a bitch and I wish that RDS would increment your save number automaticaly for you like 3DS MAX does. But it will save your rear from time to time. Better to be safe than sorry. I'm very sorry to hear you lost all the hard work you put into the scene.. :( Clint

Happened last night while working with Ray Dream. I had finally figured out how to import a Poser figure into RD. I moved it into a scene I had prebuilt. I jumped in and began to manipulate the figure. After about tem minutes, it froze up. Nothing worked. After trying the usual things, I had to reboot. When I went back into RD, the scene that I've been working on, the one I've put many months of hard work setting up, the one I've given my blood, sweat and tears too, was gone. Vanished from the face of the earth. I have yet to run a file recovery program but has this happened to any of you? Yes, I know I should have backed it up. This really gave me a time to reflect. Was the scene as good as it could be? I became very philosophical, although I wanted to toss my electronic demon out the window, I desided, it was better to run away and to compute another day. ;)
