I was going to title this 'One Hand Clapping' but figured youall would think I had gone over the edge LOL. I love 'spareness' but its difficult sometimes to find.

Oh, BTW, for anyone that likes duotones in PS--I used Luminous Landscape's settings for selenium quadtones as my jumping off place and really like it.

Special, just to observe this scene is good and then the treatment adds a lot. I believe that this type of work is generally improving the presentions in this forum.

Slynk, I don't know. You do work in b/w and digitally, so you might want to explore it. You sure can have a lot of control over the toning of a b/w. Wish it was available for more of the regular format Epsons because I'd consider it (well, when I can come up with the funds). I have 2 and would love to make one dedicated to b/w. Diane

continuous ink supply? Full conversion to what? Either way, no one ever give the argument thatt hey save a ton of money with digital camera by not buying film, especially if you're all as sick as Alpha and Picnic, lol. wierdos, luv yas tho. ry

Alpha, what continuous ink supply are you going to use?? I've looked at 2 and keep reading about them. That I'm considering for one of my printers--they are available for my printers now. I print mostly 8 x 10's and keep trying to tell myself that if I want larger I can have them done commercially LOL--you and I are both great 'rationalizers' (are you meaning conversion to Piezography???--I'm thinking that's what you're referring to). I am buying my carts right now from www.atlex.com--quite a bit cheaper. I discovered them when I had to buy 48 color and 12 black carts for that printing job from hell this Fall LOL. Oh, BTW, I spent most of last evening trying to get Epson's colorlife paper to give me what I get from HWM. I used Epson's profile but it was way too dark and 'brown'. I found no way to change the contrast without screwing it up totally. So--now I'm on my way to getting the settings exactly for it like the HWM (altho', of course, the 'same' settings don't work). Epson's issues with paper are the only thing about them that bug me. Explain this to Slynky smile Diane

I've read really good things about that paper and am going to order some. I have no problem at all with the HWM from Epson and plan to do some more with some of the art paper from Digital Art Supplies, but Ilford's name keeps coming up so will def. try it.

I think continuious ink is simply a tube which leads from the cartridge to a large bottle. You get continious ink by refilling the bottle! Bsteph
