in photoshop 6.0, is there a way to get the brushes palette visible on the side like other windows?

I don't think there is a way for you to do that in photoshop. But if you want quick access to the brushes, you can just right-click in the canvas and the brushes palette will appear to the right of the mouse cursor (Depending what tool you use that is).

Unfortunately there is no way to load the brushes into a docked pallete. Put your request into a message to Adobe, maybe they'll consider putting that feature back in.

You can alter the size of a regular (round) brush whilst working with it, by using the bracket keys "[ and ]" to alter it up and down through a set scale from 1 pixel to 999 pixels.Saves having to keep going back to the palette, It doesn,t appear to work for custom brushes, but there may be a way of customising this feature to do so, that I haven,t found yet.
