Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 1:45 am)
Thank you Diane and Chris for your nice comments... Yes, the picture started out being a portrait of a room and the only life form was the cat.. I decided to put more life into it by putting Nene into it (since she is so lovely), but really it's more about the room than the character... ... The room defines the Character.... The pose took me days to get it to look natural, but I'm satisfied with the results .... Of course the picture wouldn't have been possible without all the help, models and textures donated from all the artist and modelers at Renderosity and some other places on the web... =) I give credits to the artist at the gallery posting... Oh, and Diane I'm so happy you recognized Dizzy Gillispie, not many people have ... lol
I moved the camera around so many, many times checking for breakage and collision... What I wanted was a pose that could be viewed at all sides without distortion... Another thing I think brings the focus to Nene is that neon hot pink cup.. It draws the eye to the center of the pic...I think I did a disservice to Chagall when stretched that sucker out to fit my prop, but I needed the movement of the horse drawing attention to the left side of the scene ... I had three figures facing towards the left and I needed some balance... Dizzy gives it an anchor to all the movement going on with colors drawing your eyes left and right.. Your right Talos about the rug.. You know your art..*wink... Diane the picture was rendered totally in Poser 4... What really surprised me and pleased me too was the glow I got from the daybed pillow and the burst of light coming through the glass bottom side table and all this from Poser lights.. No touch ups, just Poser 4... Well thank you all so much for the positive feed back... This has been fun and it's my first pictorial posting too.. You all have been great.. =)
That trumpet was one big problem, it wouldn't cast a shadow on the floor no matter what I did.... The shadow was clicked active however, so I don't know what was goin' on there... I needed an instrument though and it was the best trumpet I found online.. The theme being the art of words, the art of visual and the art of sound... It was difficult to accumulate all that I needed... The room first started out looking like a cross between a pimp pad and Elvis's jungle room... Now if I only I could get Nene to play that trumpet in an animation, that would be super cool... =)
