THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: What other programs to use with Bryce?

Looking for opinions on what other programs people are using to create 3D graphics. My current programs include Bryce, Photoshop, Illustrator...that's about it. I'm planning on buying Poser, but what about software for creating 3D objects? I'd appreciate some advice.

I would suggest Amapi its a good modeling progam. here is a link for the free full workin version below. http://amapi.idevgames.com/ The full free version is the 4.15 version you can get for windows or mac.see the download file.

I use Amorphium Pro, it is inexpensive easy to learn.

I suggest Caligari's Truespace. You can get a demo at www.caligari.com. I use it for my models for Bryce.

My suggestion would be McNeel's Rhinoceros3D. It is very easy to use and can help you model things from simple shapes to complex industrial machinery. My two pennies.

I use Poser ( for characters ), Amorphium Pro and IE Universe ( to create models ). I tried RDS and Strata, which work well for modeling, but just didn't appeal to me.

Currently I use Corel Dream 3D, Corel Draw 8, Corel Photopaint 8, and Anim8tor(freeware). Would like to get Poser 4 soon.

Yep, Poser is great for making characters, but that's about it(at least for me;)). I don't like the rendering quality of Poser(at least when you compare it with Bryce) and I find bryce easier to add the props, scenery etc..

I agree, but that's to say Bryce is needed to get best results from Poser rather than the other way round. 3D modellers seem to be a matter of taste. I could never get the hang of Amapi, but Rhino is great.
