Well, the waterfall is slanting to the left, which falling water won't tend to do; it falls straight down. :) Before anything else though, the terrain that is "hosting" the waterfall doesn't seem to have enough depth to be convincing: If it were to keep up the water flow, it would be large enough to hold enough water atop of it, or be deep enough to hold a flowing body of water such as a river. Straighten the water out so it's falling vertically, perpendicular to the lower water surface. It's also too transparent, so you'd do well to add some vertical bumps in the waterfall material. Nice job of creating the splashes at the base, BTW, and the POV is very good, especially with the foreground plants. :)
I use a cylinder for the waterfall squashed to an oval shape so I can get the arc of the water as it flows over a cliff or whatever. Another thing to keep in mind is that the water for a waterfall comes from somewhere and goes to somewhere. I can't really see where the 'upstream' portion could be coming from. Maybe you could raise the terrain behind the waterfall? As far as a texture for a waterfall, I've tried and tried but I just can't get anything to look decent so I start with the 'Foamy Water' material and wind up postworking the rest of it. I agree with Mike on the POV and foliage though, it looks great. :) Rich

Well, it's definitely a beginning... The landscape is looking good and the pond is definitely nice... I would look at the tutorial above to get better defined water for a waterfall.. And it's easy to do with the terrain editor...It's a good start, Jobu, a nice scene to support it. And thanks Paul, for the plug. :) I agree with several of the above comments, particularly: - the water needs a place to be falling from...it could be there in this scene, maybe just out of the camera's view, but being hidden is troublesome, so it's probably better to make it more visible. (This is one of the cool elements of working in 3D as opposed to going out on a photography shoot. If you don't like something, just change it!) ;) - the fall itself needs to come straight down rather than angled. - the texture of the terrain is too visible through the water of the fall, so the fall needs to be less transparent. - Finally, I love the splash at the bottom. That looks darn well perfect! :D
