Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 25 12:38 pm)
I was so excited to be in the same book as Desdemona :) It's a gorgeous book isn't it. My parents were browsing through (I'm 32 and they still have to do that "What's our little girl doing" thing LOL) and came across a few of the Maya renders, and said "Why don't yours look as realistic as these?" Of course I then had to try and explain to 2 completely 3d illiterate people the difference between software like Poser and Maya LOL
Xena, I had a similar response from my wife....but she seemed a little less enthusiastic. She can't seem to understand that my art is art and that even though I render and create models that are perhaps not in a realistic body form that they are just fantasy art...another area which she probably doesn't understand. Anyway, it was a afirmation that I sorely needed (being in the book that is). I realized that I need to get back into making art. I'd like to push it to a new level!
And I'm proud to say my dear friend Chantal aka DutchAngel is in there too. I've gotten the book from her as a present and she signed it for me also. ;-) Awesome stuff in there. Congratz to the people that have been included. Congratz, Dan! And who are you in the book, Xena? Can't find anything related to your nick or am I just being blind here? ;-) Regards, Johnnie...
Okay, I ordered a copy from Amazon UK, but it says it'll take 3-5 weeks to be shipped... I dunno if I can wait that long... Congrats everyone who's in it, I hadn't realized SO many of you were... I remembered Wyrmmaster mentioning it a while back, but I didn't realize so many of you, many of whom I consider my friends, were in it as well!
Dan, I look at my stuff in the book and realise just how far I have come. Which inspires me to try even more s Lee, your stuff looks excellent :) Picked it right off the bat. You have a very unique style. Johnnie, check out page 278. That would be me ;) They were supposed to add me under my nick but I think they forgot LOL Cin, it's worth the wait. Some of the stuff in there just blows me away. Wyrmmaster, dglidden, desdemona, will kramer. Just to name a few I know.
Mine will be under the christmas-tree. It's the christmas-gift from my wife to me. She handed it over to me for just 10 seconds to take a sneak preview. Have you ever tryed to see trough a book with over 500 pages. LOL, it was like those old paper-movie-booklets. Can't wait to date when i can open the box. Congratulations to all who got the luck to be a part into this book. SHARKEY

I'm thrilled. I just got my copy from Taschen....it's worth a look. It's an honor to have my work in there with the likes of Stephen Stahlberg.
