THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Queston - XP and Bryce5

I just loaded XP onto my computer and so far other than a few upgrades everything seems ok except for Bryce. I normally have Poser and or Photoshop or PSP7 open to either get obj files or to work on textures. But since I've installed XP and run Bryce the rest of the computer seems to freeze up and the only thing I can do is to work with Bryce. AS soon as I close Bryce down everything seems to work alright. Do I need to reinstall Bryce or is there a workaround for this? Appreciate the help. Schurby

I would go out on a limb and say yes, re-install bryce and see if that fixes everything. I'd cross my fingers for you too. ~Mix~

If you mean that you can't get out, just press the Windows Button betweent the ctrl-alt and this will give you the possibility of going to other applications. Pleiades

Thanks I did a re-install and that helped. But I forgot about the windows button between Ctrl and Alt. Works now.

XP has a setting in the control panel, under SYSTEM-then aADVANCED tab,PERFORMANCE click SETTINGS then ADVANCED and there is a setting that is set to default for the processor usage and memory setting that allow it to "adjust for best performance of programs" I noticed that too when I first got XP. When working with Bryce you can click the "minimize" button on the top right and then select whatever else you may have running on the taskbar.

Dude, you didn't have to re-install shit...all you had to do is hold the cursor where the top tool bar normally is...AND BAM, it magically appears, although this may take a while cause of the speed of Bryce5, or your pc, or a combo of both...and you could have hit the little windows thingy. And there is also ALT TAB!
