Has anyone upgraded Ray Dream 3D to Eovia's Carrara? I was wondering if they allowed it for the upgrade price. I tried emailing Eovia but now one got back to me.

I believe the last time I checked the upgrade price to Carrara from Ray Dream 5.5 was basically $150, and well worth it.

Has anybody recieved an offer to upgrade from Raydream studio {sidegrade} to Carrara studio at a fantastic offer of 99.00 + postage? If So please let me know? Thanks Peterpan

I haven't received the 99.00 pound offer, but I live in the US--perhaps it is just for English people. I did get an email from a German guy, but since I can't read German I have no clue as to what it is about? I guess my main concern about the upgrade is whether Eovia view Day Dream 3D as being different from the full versions of Ray Dream Studio. I can't afford $400 for the non upgrade price right now. I had really wanted Ray Dream 5.5 because of it's Poser compatibility features, but I missed the boat on that one.

Yes, I upgraded to Carrara Studio from RayDream 3D at the $149 price. The only problem was that I could not find my RD serial number. I offered to mail the original cd or the cover of the manual but only the serial number was acceptable. Fortunately I found it.

That's great to know! As soon as I get the holiday bills cleaned up I will make the change.

Yep, Eovia is making the upgrade offer to ALL versions of RayDream (even Ray Dream Designer that we have a work). Like you, once the dust settles from the holidays, I'm off to get that upgrade! (And if you'd like some help with the German e-mail, I can translate it for you.) - Dex

I deleted the original message and the author never got back to me. If they read my message here I know they can read English. I'm not really interested in getting a foriegn language version of Carrara anyhow. Thanks for the offer.
