Instead of the Ambient color being black, try going up a couple shades of grey. This will bring out more brightness in the texture but don't go too high, or it'll start washing out the texture. Also, some maps are designed with crazy lighting systems in use during testing. Try adding a couple of lights or increasing existing light's intensity. Some of the commercial maps I've seen from here have some strange ideas of realistic skin pigment, this you can correct in photoshop with hue/saturation or Brightness/contrast. Good luck, hope i helped. -WTB
Also make certain the base color under the texture is set to white. I believe I saw a MAT file to change all colors & textures of a Michael figure to white. - Try using that before applying your texture. (If the Texture you bought came with a MAT file to apply, check that it sets the base texture okay)
I still wish DAZ would not put the default colors on the base figures. I've requested this, but they seem to think that the characters have to come in with some asthetic colors. I always immediately resave the base Michael and Vicki back to the library with all white settings before I do anything else with them. It's a bad use of my time, but once I've resaved them, I don't have to do it again. The default colors are useless and no one ever wants them anyway. It would be nice if they would just create them as default white figures to begin with. It would also save the sanity of newbies who don't know this little detail. Melanie
