hey folks...i got a problem with my poser..i just installed the poser service pack 3 and now poser is running REALLY slow..it takes like 30 to 45 secs at the Credit screen to come up..and when i go to the libary and want to add a new character it takes like 30secs till the character comes up..and when i want to open vicky poser is freezing..its actually not that long (30secs) but itz kinda annoying..but the thing with vicky is really bad..i thought the service pack update fixs all them problems??..it just makes the problems (at least on my computer :P )..well if anyknow knows what to do..please help me out then.. ps. b4 i installed the service pack it took also kinda long..but not that long..and at least the proggie didnt freeze...so HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEE PLEASSSSSSSSSSSE :) peace

You might want to contact Curious Labs for support. I have Pro Pack too, but even when I had only Poser 4.0 it took a while to open and load high res models. I haven't had freezing, knock on wood. I notice that if I selected a Poser 2 Dork or Posette that they open quickly. How much ram do you have? If is possible that Pro Pack has high system requirements and that hte freezing is being caused by lack of available memory. Try closing all the programs running in the background and see if Vicky will load faster and without freezing. Maybe you need a ram upgrade. It's worth looking into, but I would contract Curious Labs before you go any farther.

azad_chabz: Do you have a PC?! Have you defragged your hard drive recently?! That can definately make a big difference. Why not fill us in a little concerning your hard drive capacity, free space, memory, etc. You might also want to see how many programs you have loaded in startup. You'd see their icons in the systray, near the clock on the bottom right corner of your PC screen. How many other programs do you run while using Poser Pro? For example: Image Editors, such as PhotoShop, etc.

i have 96mb ram..lol..i know it aint much tho..but well i deleted some stuff now in the liberys i dont need..so it runs a lil bit faster..well im running the internet explorer while i run poser...i can even run bryce or something else while i run poser...itz not slower then..and itz only the characters..the props or whatever come up real quick..but it takes now only like 18secs to come up..so 12secs faster then b4 :) ...
