What a way to start the new year. This has been mt first day wandering through Posertown, and I must say I am impressed. But like any good newb I need Some help.1/ No matter which style I have selected, wireframe, outline, etc. it always renders in smoothshaded style. My problem is I would like to save these other styles at 800 x 600 but I can only resize with the render ? 2/ When I select outline or wireframe it comes out pink I tried changing the color but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again Happy New Year to all See ya around Posertown.

You can either use menurenderantiaias document and export the image or render a one frame animation using display settings. You can get a bigger render using the one frame animation. Some of the display settings use the material color and some use the foreground color.

Also, under the menu, you can find render options. This includes a switch between rendering as displayed or as normal. If your display is set to wireframe, you get a wireframe render. (You may wish to make the eyeballs and teeth invisible.)

hauksdottir, where is the switch you are talking about? Can you show a screen capture? Thanks.

Hauksdottir, I've been using Poser since version 2, and I've never seen this. Are you using 4.03 or ProPack? I don't have ProPack. Melanie

Wow guys thanks for the help. Just a couple of things. Wyrwulf, could you please explain how to render a one frame animation ? Hauksdottir, I can't find the switch you're talking about, maybe you could give us a screen capture?

Pages 210 and 264 in the Poser 4 manual explain it fairly well. Also, look at this message. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=271546

Go to animation > make movie. Under quality, you can switch between render and display settings. (It is actually a pull-down menu, not a toggle, like in a game. I was using switch for the action, not the device.) You want sequence type "image files". ... Darn it! The cat is playing with the optical mouse on the Mac, and I can't type and keep her distracted at the same time. ... Save as "tiff": this gives you an alpha channel. In your image, make sure that you only have 1 frame of 1 (delete the extra frames). It will render quickly in wireframe mode, and save automatically by whatever name you choose.

OK. The same thing I was talking about. The way you described it, I thought it was something else.
