Here's a pic I took last night, yes we finally got out, they plowed our street during the night last night....This was taken at my mother's as I needed to get over there and check on her.....there was so much snow on her awning it started to cave in. In the reply thread is our christmas tree in the living room, and I have one more and now can't find it. Bless you all, Syyd

Dang, that looks cold - I agree with Alpha, I'd stay inside with the tree! :-) They're predicting snow for tonight or tomorrow here (where we're known for 1/2 inch drifts - yep, you read that right, LOL!) - needless to say, my daughter is already checking out the window every 5 minutes! :-)

Well, I'll be dipped! There is someone in the mirror!

Thats a me.....LOL.......Look at my crooked mirror, hasn't hung straight since the day I put it up...oh well, a room has to have originality...... Snow, snow and more snow, they say its costing 2 million a day to try and clean up and they are looking for federal aid. All you see on the streets are trucks pulling snow. Tonight I went to pick up my mother, a normal 7 minute drive took an hour and fifteen as I got stuck twice....SHEESH Sweet, I wonder if your daughter is like mine, who got an extra three days off of school this week.

Syyd, yes, I'll take the comfy chair by the tree thanks! Woah Finder! It's just like in "Blade Runner" where Harrison Ford has that cool little doover he talks to, saying "Zoom in here...enhance section A24 B83, Stop...Give me a hardcopy right there!" Boy, I'm glad I'm not a replicant...or am I? And is that Dog really a robot? LOL!

my my my ... Niko, please stop make up photos this way !! Great touch ... feeling a bit envious of his skills ;-) Oh no ... I am a good man ... eh he

Syyd ( ) posted Wed, 02 January 2002 at 9:50 AM

Niko that looks great......I actually saved my really good snow one to work on like this, but I have to tell you, I never paid attention to the wires when photographing but loved how they came out...... Snow snow snow and then some. All I want to do is get in the car and drive. I am not kidding, after the ordeal of going for a 7 minute ride that took an hour and fifteen minutes, what I'd like to do is drive to Niagara falls, because, right around the falls where the mist rises, it freezes on the trees, all these beautiful trees, it looks like something out of Tolkien, and if I go there, Im fraid we wont get back in here.

Well, my daughter's prayers were answered and we got our snow, so she'll probly be off for the rest of the week, since it actually appears to be sticking, not quite enough to qualify as "ground cover" yet, but no signs of it letting up either. Everyone down here goes absolutely insane when it snows - no one knows how to drive in it, so everything just shuts down for the duration, and everyone holes up and enjoys it for the 3 days or so that it lasts. Only problem is, my camera battery died last night, so I can't take any pictures.....WWAAAHHHH!!!

Hey, Syyd! Happy New Year! You got all the snow that my kids were so envious of. They were trying to figure a way to nudge the storm down toward us just a bit. :) I love the pic of your tree. It looks like it could be a Christmas card -- all warm and cozy. Great stuff! :) Lisa
