Does anyone know if there are any plans for a Poser to Carrara plug-in? I understand Ray Dream 5.5 had one that worked really well.

I don't know if anyone plans to write a plug-in, but konan in the Poser group has written some standalone apps for importing Poser animations into Max, Bryce, TS... He has posted a message requesting input on what other programs he should write his application for.

If he receives enough emails requesting Poser2Carrara, maybe he'll offer something.

I hope that Curious Labs decides to make a Carrara plug in for the Poser pro pack. I have seen how well the plug in for Cinema 4D works and it is really cool. In the meantime, I have used the morph modifier (several of them actually) in conjunction with exported versions of several morph targets from poser. The animation came out kind of cool, especially because the rendering in Carrara is superior to Poser.
