Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 30 5:12 am)
Also note - the rules allow multiple people to collaborate - it doesn't really say any limit, though afaik most entries thus far are from just one person. If a few people agreed on a theme, some could create characters in Poser and clothes and such, others could create objects for the scene, and someone could composite the whole thing in Vue. It would take some coordination, but could make for a super-detailed scene. On the other hand, everyone could just enter their own image, or multiple groups of people could be formed around different ideas. - n8
That looks VERY interesting! And I have to say, thanks for the link, especially because I just watched the "Playing Cards" .AVI movie, and,.....WOW, that was cool! So, thank you for the info. :) Also, if it's a Mac version of Vue 4 you're awaiting, I really hope it's here soon. Can't let Corel have ALL the Mac market afterall.... I've heard it will be released at the Mac Expo in San Fransisco this week (maybe by now it has been), but I don't know the details. You'd think they'd tell us, wouldn't ya? ;) Thank you, n8, for the info. "Worlds Within Worlds" is definitely right up Vue's alley. :)
Re: Vue Mac - yes, it's supposed to be officially announced at MWSF - but it's actually next week. I tried out the PC demo and it's really slick - I might just pre-order the Mac version now... :) I actually own Bryce 4 - never really figured it out. Hoping to sell it (locally) if I can. Re: Cards - that is pretty cool. There should be a new animation compo in a couple weeks too - would have to be pretty ambitious to enter the one going on now. Re: Worlds in Worlds The rules also allow you to use 3rd party textures and objects, so long as you credit the original author. Generally though, I think it's best to do your own original work if you're looking to win... (not that I know anything, I've never entered IRTC before) - n8
