Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 24 8:11 pm)
It might be that Poser did not find the obj file associated with the clothing item. In the clothing items cr2-file (located in the runtimelibrariescharacter folder) you can see where Poser expects the obj file to be. As an example, if you open the cr2 file for the bikini top in a text editor, you will find the following in the beginning of the text: figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:Poser4Clothes:Bikini:BikiniTop.obj When loading the item, the file BikiniTop.obj must be located according to the path above, otherwise you will get an error message. It can also be a problem with a corrupt rsr file associated with the obj file. I'm not exactly sure how to fix that, but it has been discussed in many threads before, do a search in this Forum! The "not enough memory" message seems to be something that Poser assumes for a variety of reasons, not necessarily associated with an actual memory problem. Taking care of the first problem will probbaly fix this one too!
melanie, try changing the path of the .obj file in the .cr2 - in other words, move the .obj to another folder and make the .cr2 point to that folder instead. Or try renaming the .obj file and changing the name in the path as well. Then Poser might load the item after which you can resave it in the library and after that it'll work fine. I've tried that every now and then when things won't load and it usually helps.

Lastnight I was working with Poser and everything was fine, then I went in again later on and I went to select Vicky1.0 and add clothes to her and it all of a sudden gave me an error saying the gemotry something something obj could not load, it did this with all my clothing in poser and then popped up with a warning saying sources are to low allocate more memory to poser, I have two and a half gigs free so my sources shouldnt be low, is this a glitch or error in the program? I need help thanks to anyone who can help.
