THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Windows 2000

I now have Windows 2000, waiting for more info before I install and have the typical major headaches. What I would like to know, who in this fine forum of ours is using 2000 and what if any problems they might have encountered. I'm planning on doing a clean install. My main concern is software compatibility issues. Is Rhino, BMRT, Flamingo, Autocad, Bryce, compatible? Mainly Rhino, and Bryce?

I don't use 2k but I have several friends who use bryce on it with no real complaints so far, as for everything else, don't know.

I can confirm that Bryce 4/5 work on w2k as well as the Rhino demo. I assume this also means the registered package will work.

BMRT works great in W2K. Just enter the paths in Enviroment Varibles, accessed from right clicking My Computer > Properties then the Advanced tab.

I've been running Bryce on 2000 Professional for a year now, with no worries at all.

Bryce will work fine,a s will most other software. I would be careful with some hardware though. Graphics tablet, audio cards etc. Again most will work fine, but for some you may lose some functionality or the you may lose the device totally Make sure there are Win2k drivers available for you particular hardware and/or MicroSoft says the device is compatabile..
