In any case, the PC version is coming first. Unlike my other software, this program will be highly portable, so MAC version is highly possible. KonanSounds just the ticket... we NEED to get away from the standard looking figures in order to be taken seriously as a real character development software/community. Michael 2 goes some way in this respect, but, well, its still Michael isn
t it? Id be fascinated to see some eye candy illustaring this Konan. And beta testers... if you need another, I
d be very keen ;-)
I'm curious if it'll be useful only on the characters or also on say, clothing. There's a lot of clothing out there that doesn't fit any of the characters if you change something on them since the article of clothing is static. If this package will allow one to easily add morphs to clothing to get it to fit right, I'd be very interested.

It can be used on ANY 3d mesh, so clothing will be nothing special. Now that you mentioned it, I may add a feature such that you can see the clothing and the original figure. You can then morph the clothing until it fit the figure just right. You will also be able to morph the clothing into different styles. You can turn a dress shirt into a puffy pirate shirt for example (this can also be done with magnets if you know how to use them. Most people find the magnets hard to use, however I personally like using them). KonanI'd be a grateful buyer too! I use Lightwave for what few morphs I do, I'd do a lot more if I had a program that allowed for my impatience. Incidentally, Natural Pose, brilliant! I'm saving my pennies for the full version, I just sit there watching the machine doing all the work for me, I know it's sad, like finding a washing machine fun, but I love sitting there and seeing all the menus flying past and the movie forming.
"Now that you mentioned it, I may add a feature such that you can see the clothing and the original figure. You can then morph the clothing until it fit the figure just right." I would bear your lovechild if that could be done quickly and painlessly (two things I am always skeptical of). Let me say it this way: I can't stand the magnets in Poser. I know they're powerful, but we do not get along, and there's lots of things I'd like to be to fit, clothing-wise, that does not have the morphs available for them, and that I seem incapable of morphing with magnets. I'll keep an eye out on the development of this. It sounds like something perfectly suited for me.

I must say that I have never received such a massive response for one of my software products. I must say that this is going to be the biggest hit of them all. I guess that is because it applies to all Poser users, not just the ones who want to export their animations to Max, trueSpace, Bryce or Vue. Although I will obviously continue to support my current products (I am working on the German Bryce plug-in for Natural Pose as I write this), I am very excited about doing something different. Not to mention since this will be a stand alone product, it will go very smoothly. The hardest part about doing plug-ins and automation software is dealing with "the other guy's program". Vue was horrible for this. It has so many "hidden features" that had to be discoverd and worked around. Fortunately, the work arounds made the program (Natural Pose 2) better than it was before. I am also getting quite a resonse for a Poser 2 Carrera plug-in. The boys and gals at Eovia have been very supportive about the whole thing (it was they who contacted me about developing the plug-in). It looks like that project may be moving as well. Hey everyone, Konan here. . You may know me from such software products as Natural Pose 2 (Poser to Bryce and Vue) truePose (Poser to trueSpace) Maximum Pose 2 (Poser to 3d Studio Max) and The Ultimate Dragon I am on an intellegence gathering mission; I have prototyped a software package that allows you to create Morph Targets for Poser (or other programs) extremely easily. You can even model props from simple primatives. Without giving away the secret how this is done, I would just like to gauge the demand for such a product. So, as usual, give me an email at konan_b@hotmail.com with the subject POSERMORPHER I will not read the email but file it away. If I get enough responses, I will develope the software and release it asap. Believe me when I say this, it will be super easy to create really good morphs (even if you are not good at 3d modelling. I cannot say more without revealing the secret). It will even be easy to "remove" features from a model (say you want to remove the wrinkles from around Michael's eyes, this will be easy). This is especially useful for creating new faces for Poser figures. Ever notice how just about every facial morph (with a few exceptions of course) still look like the original figure. That is because when you morph using tools like the Magnets, you are basically adding buldges or dents. You are not however removing the features that already exist. Using the new software, you will be able to whipe the face clean of features and morph new ones easily. Blah, blah, blah. Sometimes I think that I just like the sound of my typing. Konan
