I absolutely agree! I just got mine Friday, and am exploring it now. Some questions I came here to ask about it-- Is there a particular way we're supposed to use the fabric tile jpgs? I figure I can use them in Pshop to define a pattern for painting clothing; or they'd make great seamless tiles for a webpage background; but are they designed for something else? Another question-- the CD has a morph or two. In fact, it has thousands. Only problem is, it's a little tough to figure out what they all do. Yes, Trav has divided them up into folders, so if I want to work with P4 Fem nose morphs, I just go to that folder. But there are about a hundred different morphs in the folder, with arbitrary file names. Note also that on the content list for the CD (at the Morphworld website) the morphs seem to have more descriptive names. Any way of getting a cross-reference, or magically assigning them the descriptive names? What we need is a forum devoted exclusively to tips, tricks, and information about this great CD!Also note that Traveller also not only includes the morphs as obj. files but also includes the magnets so that you can morph the clothes to fit the morphed body. As for the fabric/tile patterns, you know I was wondering about those myself. I would think that the way to use them would be to stack them up in photoshop in like 5 rows and 5 columns and save it like that.
Aha! So that's what the magnets are for. I'm sure it will be a piece of cake to figure out how to use that!:) No need to stack anything to use the tiles in photoshop; it will stack them automatically when you use them as a pattern. Just open the tile picture, do a select all (this puts a dotted line around the edge of the image). Then under 'edit' select 'define pattern.' This turns the tile into a pattern that you can use for painting. One way of using it is to select an area you want to fill with the pattern (I often use the entire surface of the texture image, for full coverage.) Then you go to edit, select 'fill', and in the dialog box for the fill process, select 'pattern.' Another way of using the pattern is to go to the tool box, select the pattern tool (it is the alternate for the rubber stamp tool), and you can paint the pattern in whereever you want it.
