Nothing special. Sony Mavica, sepia mode. I liked this one. I also thought it had a lot of potential. the one question is what next? Any suggestions. Bsteph

I would echo the tree comment. It frames well on sides. The glimmer of lights from the building needs to be more or less. It needs a catchy name " ". A picture may be worth a thousand words, but the right title sets the thought. Bill

I really like your image! I hope you dont mind bsteph, but I played around with it a bit, to see about an idea I had about the "tree problem" that Bill and Alpha mentioned. I 'filled' the open area below the bottom left skyline with the building colour to give it a more dramatic frame, without that distracting (to me anyway) open bit. IMHO I think the tree now appears as less of a problem...after that I adjusted levels and colour balance a bit as Alpha suggested, I'm not sure if I did it right... What do you think about my manipulation of reality to give a different frame....is it "cheating"?

What's the "cheating" ? If old Adams can manipulate from negative to print, I believe it is fair game to all photographers. Very improved in terms of "feeling". What we try to avoid is the "lie". That is to present what is not true. Copied work or "as seen" when that is not the facts. Bill

Hey PC I like what you did with it. I especially like the filling in of the buildings. Obviously the second is much more forboading. Can make for a perfect backbround for hmm. I'll have to think about that. Right now all I can imagine is a set of blood shot eyes. But that has been dome before! Bsteph

Very striking pic, bsteph. Both make me think of The Wizard of Oz. I agree with Alpha's comments and also like the second pic that PC played with but to me the lower part of the second looks a bit too dark.
