Oh my God. I hope someone can help me here. I'm really new at doing this (ie: idiot alert) but need to overcome a few probs...

I'm using Poser 4.0.3; when working with both the P4 and Victoria bikini top/bottom that I just bought, I can't get the color to change when I put a different texture on. I change the object color to white, load a new texture map, apply it to the entire item, but then when I render, it stays black on the P4 and Maroon on the Victoria items. Because the color of the items are dark, it's hard to tell if the patterns/textures are there, and if I can't change the color to what I want the item to be, what's the point?

I can get other clothing items to change like I want them, but not these.

Also, if I slide the min/max transparency bars, the items won't become transparent.

Any ideas on what I can be doing wrong? (OR) Is anyone willing to walk me through some of this if you know what is up with it? I bought this so I could make some nifty lace and patterned bras/panties but I can't if it won't show my tranparencies, colors, etc. Is it that you "CAN'T" change them, is it that there's something wrong with my system, or am I just completely missing the whole ballpark here? HELP! Thank you, anybody!

For me, it doesn't matter if I check apply to the entire item or not, it never works.............. I still have to scroll down to each item in the drop down list on the right hand side of the screen, and apply the texture to each one. For instance, the bikini bottom from Vicky's clothes has four, maybe five different parts listed, and if I don't do this to each one, one of the sections will remain the original color. Hope this helps...........(: genny

I tried to do it individually, too, but it doesn't seem to change anything for me. I'm pulling my hair out. Thanks for your help, though :-O

Do the colors of the bikini change in your document window when you set them to white?

On viccys bikinibottom its the material called " bottom" that makes the color and the texturing. No probs.

Lisa, I had the same problem with Vic's bikini bottom (Mac version) and finally had to reinstall her clothing pack. DAZ 3d was extremely helpful; they let me download a fresh copy, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. Give them a shout, either here or via their website. Good luck!
