Subject: Under water legs?

BTW, I received an interesting email from a friend last night...as follows: "I have a question.... a friend of mine is organising a website and is looking for a very specific picture to have in the background - I thought you might know of somewhere she might be able to get it. What she wants is a picture taken in a pool from underwater, looking up at swimmers legs. She is happy to pay or to link to the artist, whatever. Do you have any idea where we might be able to find something like that?" I replied that we could try ourselves with an underwater camera, sounded like a fun project...but I also told her I would ask some people that really had a clue too! (That's the Photography Forum!!!!) So does anyone have any ideas?.... ;-)>

Well, perhaps stock images....royalty free on cd or so, but I can't imagine a picture like that as a stock image. Hmm....how about a picture with leggs & a picture of underwater ? Should be easier to get on the web somewhere. Although you can buy one of those throw-away camera's, which they have in normal format, panorama and underwater formats. You know, those little carbon board camera's :) Perhaps going to an indoor pool, or standing in a bathtub or someone's aquarium would do the trick =)

I say wrap your camera in a ziplock bag, lol. Those commercials suggest that they are damn good. btw, try at your own risk, lol. ry

I've read that the underwater trick works pretty good. Also for rougly 10 dollars you used to be able to buy those disposable sprots cameras. Supposedly you anc submerge those. But I second Alpha's suggestion to adk gabe. ( Gsalas ) As I recal he once posted one that was very close to what you wanted here. Bsteph

If you go for the zip lock gig, make sure you don't get the brand where the tomatoes went bad! Not all zip locks are created equal!

LOL! Zip-Lock Bag?? Not with my equipment!! HeHehe! But seriously folks, thanks for your feedback...I think my brother actually has an underwater camera...I might bribe...ummm I mean, ask him if I can borrow it. Otherwise the disposable jobs don't do too bad a job. I remember using one on a holiday I had with Jane about 6 years ago...and some of the shots were ok. Now I know a bit more about the basics, maybe I can do something even better! Thanks People!

Tony Stone has stock images on cd. I saw a couple of underwater legs pics before. I dunno where you can get the cd, though. If I had it with me I could've e-mailed you the thing, but then again I don't. Sorry.

Thanks Star...I'm actually looking at this as a bit of a personal challenge to see what I can come up with now! Could be fun...and I'll post some images as I get them.
