Wait....it seems as though you have to already have a homepage cretaed before you can see your name in the list, so disregard the link in the first message and use this one instead...This is great (again) :) I love the new layout. The genres is a good idea. And the possibility to add articles is excellent. The only thing I noticed was tat my limit to file uploads is set to 0 kb ?!! Mike.... is that normal ?
Another question Mike, in the homepage section, i'm trying to change the picture (the current one was from when I first joined), but, when I try to upload a new picture from my documents directory on my machine, and hit save home page, it doesn't change. Then when I go back into the manage page, its defaulted back to the way it was originally. My limit for file uploads is the same as agiels, is this why I can't change the picture? Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Cheers William
Tradivoro... the home page is set using the forms provided by renderosity. Click on 'My Homepage' under 'Members Options' and select 'Manage Homepage' at the top right corner of the page. William... I have that '0' limit but I could still upload an image. I noticed I had to refresh pages a few times before seeing changes. Probably because the page is being cached by my browser...
Agiel, tried refreshing the screen many times, but still no joy. If I change the text, the changes appear, just the picture stays the same. I removed the URL from the part that says 'Picture URL' and entered the path to where my new image is in the area that says 'Or Upload Picture', then, after refreshing with no luck, go back into 'Manage page' and its reset itself back to its original state. Don't know if anyone else has had this problem, or, if they were able to resolve it, I guess I'll just have to stick with the one thats there! Thanks for the info though :)
Guitta.... did you try the link 'My Homepage' on the side of your page ? (in the section 'Member options').
hey people, I just got back. Really I haven't yet tried anything with this, as the anouncement was just nmade, qand I was just passing it along. The reason I think, that you see a 0 for your space available, is that means that you haven't used any space yet. It should say: "You have a maximum limit of 25600 KB for your upload area. You have used 0 KB (0.0 %) of that space. You have a maximum monthly bandwidth allowance of 1024 MB. You have used 0.0 MB (0.0 %) of that allowance so far this month." Hopefully that's where you're getting the idea that you have no space, or else something is wrong. As for any other questions, I really don't know yet. Any pressing questions, you could ask in the HTML and Web Scripting forum here. I'm going to play around with this feature for a while and I'll see what I can come up with. It is so new, I only just first heard about it last night. The few things I have tried did work, but I haven't tried any actual HTML or major editng yet. Guitta, you will only see your name in the list once you've already created a Home Page here. Use the link in my second message to go to your personal startup page. It reads your user name and sends you to your own blank page. I'll have more info soon.....
Mine says " You have a maximum limit of 0 KB for your upload area. ..." The rest is the same.... So I guess there is a problem :)

Cowboy: **I removed the URL from the part that says 'Picture URL' and entered the path to where my new image is in the area that says 'Or Upload Picture'** Use "Picture URL" if the image already resides somewhere on the web. The URL should end with ".jpg" or ".gif" Use "Upload Picture" if the image resides on your hard drive. Select the "Browse" button and point it to the (JPG or GIF) file on the your drive. The "url" will be filled in automatically. As for the 0 KB upload, both Mike and I thought the file area was activated, but it's not yet. So nothing can be uploaded yet. I'm not sure when that feature will be active. Sorry for the confusion.Hi Varian,
Strange thing is, thats what I done last night, but nothing changed, even after hitting refresh numerous times and logging out and coming back a couple of hours later. However, when I went to try again just now, it had the correct picture in it. Maybe it was running slow - to many people trying to upload at the same time or something, but its seems like everything is fine now.
Thanks
William
Hey Bill, there will be a delete functionality added tonight, according to the PTB. Otherwise there's nothing Varian or I could do about it until then, and then you'll be able to do it too. I'm really sorry for the confusion, but I was sincerely under the impression that everyone was getting this amount of space right away. I'm sorry if I misled you, but it wasn't clearly communicated to me, either, or else I just misunderstood. :(

Hey everyone, check the link. It's to the alphabetical index of the Renderosity Home Pages feature. Click on the letter of your user name and in the next screen, click on your user name and it takes you to a page with a full set of tools for creating your page, or parking your current page here. You get something outrageous like 25 MB of space, and a GIG of monthly traffic...all FREE! What's better, is you get to select the "sample pictures" that show up when someone accesses your page through the "view this member's home page" link which is below every picture you have in your gallery. Better STILL, is you can upload actual files, free stuff, etc., if you have no web space, and then use the homepage link to upload to the Free Stuff. :) Of course, the Terms of Service apply just as well there as anywhere on the site, so before you upload any files, make sure that you have permission to do so. ENJOY! And if you get a chance, don't forget to drop a line to one of our site admins and thank them. This will use an enormous amount of bandwidth, so it's pretty nice of them to give this to us for FREE! However, I don't think it's allowable to link to files here from other sites, so please don't do that. As far as I know, there are no limitations. If it can be done with HTML, it can be done on your page..... ......................... Varian has suggested that we begin and maintain a list of member's website/page URL's, so if you have a website, or once you create a website, please post your URL here. That is all. Carry on. Cheers! Mike
