Very useful! Your textiles are also great. I agree 100% with your philosophy. I wish that the idea would catch on with skin textures for characters. If only people would post photoshop or .psp layered files! I'd pay 2X as much. I've bought several skins at $15 to $25 and ... well I'm getting off topic. Thanks a million or 18 X 8 :) (Really even more if you combine some of the transmaps in photoshop! You're an inspiration.
I haven't downloaded this kit, I am trying to stay clear of donwloads till my pc is sorted, but I prefer to have textures like this to make my own specific textures. I have bought 3 packs of just textures, and 1 cd. like the sound of the next 2.
The greatest part of wisdom is learning to developĀ the ineffable genius of extracting the "neither here nor there" out of any situation...."
Stuff like this is actually quite useful depending on the restrictions. I downloaded them and applied them to Phil C's classic wrap just to get a preview, and they actually mapped quite well without applying them to the actual texture map. I particularly liked the black and red one with little yellow stars. ;)
Restrictions: Resale in any form - no Use in commercial image (as is, modified, inclusion)- yes Modification/inclusion in larger texture - yes Redistribution as is - no Redistribution (modification, inclusion)in freestuff - yes Does the readme make the use restrictions clear? basically you just can't make money off the texture per se - images are ok though. Dark Ages and Frost Fur aren't released yet Still making ringmail for DA, and fixing the stitches on the patches subset. (The patches subset is actually areas of screening white, multiplying dark over a base layer, plus embossed stiching- so any base layer can be patched - tho it looks silly on the metal) Dark ages has a bunch of different armour/metal subtypes. Banded mail, scale, serrated scale, I ran out of kinds. I want to do at least one scaleset inset with the rough blue texture. I want to make some ragged/torn transmaps to be used with the two canvas textures - both holes, slashes and rough edges. I've made two tunic textures using FrostFur, used one in this preview. They come together fairly nicely. For those using Paintshop Pro it's fairly cool to set them up as tubes and just stamp them in using guides. Photoshoppers can use the pattern fill to good effect. Also I've set up Bryce mats using FF rgb values - in matte, plastic, metal and glass. They combine very nicely with the painted textures. Phantast, I'll make some vicki/p4 catsuit textures with patriotica when I get home. But anyone else can feel free to jump in :) And just for you info - FF was the first I made, than DA, and last PAT. So I seem to be releasing out of order. shrug Gotta go work! Lyrra

Okay guys, Now that 200+ people downloaded it I can ask questions :) (if you haven't downloaded it, the kit contains 17 texture tiles and 8 transmaps tiles to make your own textures) So, what do you think? Is this a useful kind of thing? Would you rather just have completed model-specific textures? I have two more texture kits almost finished. (Dark Ages, and Frost Fur) Should I bother making more?
