Subject: Tutorial in Carrara Bible problem

I am on a Mac g-4 using 9.0.4 with a lot of RayDream experience. The very first thing in the Carrara Bible requires me to import the tutorial objects. I get nothing except the titles "tutorial 1" and "tutorial 2" as far as I can make out I am getting no objects at all. They are on the CD. Where am I screwing up?

The files are PC format, they do not have Macintosh resource forks. You have to open all the finished tutorial files though Carrara and do a bit of dragging and dropping into the objects tray. Unfortunately the CD and the book where written for the PC platform. I think the author could have made things a bit more cross platform with little effort, but the book and the files are still usable.

Someone wrote into Amazon.com about this same frustration. They said they wrote the publisher IDG and within a week they sent a Mac platform CD. It's worth a try. You would think they would put a coupon in the book or something if they already have the CD. Hope this helps. I really found the book helpful, even though the repeatition of the same directions for every possible instance of a technique does get annoying.
