All right, i've searched about EVERYWHERE, including here. But i cannot find an aurora borealis: material, volume material, sky, or object. If any of you can help me out i'd be very grateful, i would make a sky by myself, but i dont want to cause it wouldnt fit...heres the pic i have..and a new sky is my LAST resort, i dont wanna make the pic look different

I suggest just making one, shouldn't be too difficult, use a colorful gradient as a texture and make a wavy line with a terrain

hmm, yeha but wouldnt that make the lighting on the person and everything else different...cause right now its perfect, unless you suggest making it in photoshop

Photoshope would work pretty well too, but as for my other suggestion it all depends on where you plan to put it, if you want it up in the sky (like I assumed) you could just make it very big and very far away so the lighting on the scene itself isn't effected

hmm, yeah i guess that should work, you know anygood place for some off color materials?? Like an off blue, or off red, cause its not quite pure red or blue or green

Do you have photoshop? if so just make the material in there

Rancidvolcom ( ) posted Wed, 09 January 2002 at 7:45 PM

right then would i export it as a .mat, or when i have the aurora ready with no color, i just click the edit arrow and import?

Crakmine ( ) posted Wed, 09 January 2002 at 8:32 PM

Oh, dya know how? you have to go into the material editor, and over on the right where the components are shown you have to click the 'P' button to switch it to a picture texture, then on the red button to go into the loader
