Subject: Gallery guidelines question

Hiyo. I have a picture I was thinking about uploading into the gallery here at Renderosity, but I am not sure if it is appropriate or not. It does follow the guidelines, but it does have some sexuality in it. Is there someone I can get in touch with to get some info and ask if it is or not? I've seen stuff similar, but this is my first one I am not sure of. I'd appreciate any help. I put this in here because I wasn't sure where else to post it. Also because the stuff in question is in Poser (and Bryce). Thanks in advance.

It's hard to say without seeing the picture... sexuality is generally okay, though blatant SEX is frowned upon... normally if something is deemed inappropriate the image will be removed and the person notified... shrug I'd say post it, but be sure to flag it with the nudity tag, and maybe put a disclaimer in the title like "Title - (Mild Sexuality)" or (Mature Theme) or something like that.

This is from the TOS, part of which lists inappropriate subject matter: 1. Depictions of physical arousal or sexual acts. 2. Genital contact with ANY object, other than sitting or clothing. 3. Rape or torture of any living or dead creature.

Before, I have had a picture removed that did not violate those guidelines, because it supposedly "suggested" sexuality, whereas other pictures have remained in the gallery that have violated those guidelines.

To the extent that the admins do apply subjectivity to the issue, I think it's nicer if the decision-maker would look before-hand to advise of its appropriateness, rather than letting it be posted, then yanking it and sending that letter that says "you did something wrong." I think most people would probably find the former much more polite and the latter more upsetting.

'Rosity has reasonable guidelines. However, if your work pushes the "decency" envelope for 'Rosity, try www.renderotica.com and www.thralldom.org. Both have slightly "less restrictive" guidelines than 'Rosity, which may or may not be a good/bad thing.

Hi Yunas, I'm one of the Moderators here. I see you posted an image on Jan 4th. So I'm assuming you still haven't posted the image you are worried about. We couldn't possibly pre-approve all of the images to the galleries. There are just way too many of them pouring in to be able to do that. But I'd be glad to take a look at it for you if you like. Just e-mail it to me and I'll let you know if it's OK to post it. ScottA scottasba@aol.com

Thanks, Scott. I'll probably send it to you on Monday. I'm still working on it, but you'll get the general idea of what I am questioning.
