Subject: importing poser into carrara

I called the guys at metacreations and they told me that there IS a way to import poser animations into carrara. does anybody have any idea how to do this? if so please post it. thanks!

There won't be a way until/unless they come out with a plugin at a later time.

well I will not be recieving carrara for 2 more days so if anybody could call before tech support is off for the holidays who just got carrara I would really appreciate it if you asked them how to do it! thanks!

How about importing a PZ3 into RDS5.x, then saving it as an .RDS file, which can then be imported into Carrara...... Should work in theory.

I don't have rds. do you know where I can find a trial version that can save?

might the ray dream studio plugin that allows you to import poser characters be installable on carrara?

Pack - Cool idea...hmm..Sounds workable in theory. I may have to try that out. hund, The RDS plug-in will not work on Carrara. Well, I havent tried it but I doubt it would work. There might be some Carrara users that want to sell their old version of RDS. Just a thought. Clint
