Or to any other codec for that matter?

Or any low cost programs that would encode to divx or some other codec and not use Posers awful compression. Want to see if quality will be different trying it this way.

Take a look at:

www.divx.com

Shuld have all you need, I installed their newest codec from the Download page and am able to make Divx avi's from Poser with no problems, simply select the codec from the dialog in poser when you make a movie and away you go.

Attached Link: http://www.gromada.com/VideoMach.html

Try VideoMach: http://www.gromada.com/VideoMach.html As long as you have the DivX codec installed, you will be able to convert your full frame AVI, and also add some effects if you wish :D Hope that helps, Martin

Try VirtualDub, a simple freeware video editor. I use it all the time to compress/recompress video clips, and it works well with DivX. The Doom9 website has some FAQs, guides, and forums devoted to DivX and VirtualDub. You'll learn all sort of tricks for achieving better image quality, using two-pass encoding, etc.

and not use Posers awful compression <<< Wow. I didn't know Poser for Windows was so different from Poser for Mac. On Mac, Poser has no compression of its own, you just choose from whatever Quicktime codecs you have installed.
