I am posting to let you know I am not ignoring messages here, but I am having a hard time getting to them, and posting comments. Its very slow, and if I sit here and wait for everyone to roll up, I will be here for a day. As soon as I can grab a speedy connection Im back in. syyd

Yes, there is a serious problem with performance. Here's what I want to know: How much of the server's performance is being sacraficed by prioritizing the chat room traffic. (..that brainless babble) I noticed that when our forum is practically at a standstill, the chat is flyin' along in high-performance real time. Is the chat-chatter suckin' the brains out of the server?

Mine's been running way slow, too - seems like any time there's more than 1000-1200 people logged in, it runs like mud! :-P

Even in the UK I'm finding the forum slow too - especially the pictures.....now that there's so many posts and people putting a few pictures on the same thread it seems to take forever!!!! I'm not complaining about the pictures, tho' - hell, it's great seeing them!!! (",)

Mine is slow even when there's less than 1000, doesn't matter what time of the day either....I'm on a cable connection, it's driving me crazy.

I'm on cable. Renderosity's been slow. It's not your connection. [Although right at this moment it is working pretty well. 929 surfers.]

1009 on right now--relatively slow on cable. One of the reasons I check in less often. It seems to take forever for the site to load--and I do want to look at the images. 'Course, I've been around R'osith for years--and it really hasn't changed much on that score smile. Diane/picnic

Now its at 847, and relatively speedy. About 45 minutes ago it was at 1040 something, and browser gave up and said "can't load page." I'm sure all the techs know these statistics in detail, and they are working as hard as they can. I've always been impressed how well everything here does usually work.

yes it has been slow, I can't even get round the forums let alone the galleries! Yesterday it ground to a halt & started doing that sql query gobbeldygook stuff, I gave up but it's working fine now : D
