Well, guys, I just got home from MacWorldExpo and the Vue 4 exhibit there. It was great. Was even named "Best in Show" and they're really proud of that one I can tell ya. :) Got to chat a bit with Nicholas Phelps, who is a very nice fella, btw. Oh, and did I mention he's tall? g Anyhoo, I'll be typing up a little "What I did on my summer vacation" type article about the whole thing. Dunno where I'll post it yet - probably on my website somewhere, but when it's up I'll give y'all the link. Kate

Hey Kate, that's very cool! So, what does "Best In Show" mean? Was Lynn Fredricks there? This is cool, you got to meet the Vue people. :) Did you slap them at least once for all of us? ;) Looking forward to seeing your review. Please remember to post the info. :)

Looking forward to your article and photos Kate. I ordered the Mac version today (for the show price of $159!). I expect I'll receive it late next week.

You know, I'm not really sure what the best of show means but I would think it means they have the best presentation or something similar. It's some sort of an honor, I know that much. Lynn was there all week, but he left before I got there so I didn't get a chance to give him a hard time (and I was gonna take a cream pie just for him. Good thing I didn't. g) But I did meet Nicholas, Cecile and Marie. And Nathany, you are gonna LOVE it when it arrives! It's awesome.

Alright Kate! Yes please don't forget to let us know when you get the info up. Eager to see how your "summer vacation" went! :) And way to go, Nate! You'll be among the first to teach all us PC-ers what quirks the Mac version might have. LOL!

got it up and ready to read. It's not a technical article, it's a personal point of view piece (known as a PPV). Hope y'all enjoy it. Kate

Hey Kate, you did a teriffic job on the story, really. I felt as if I was there. :) Sorry to hear about all the troubles you had actually getting there, but in the end it was worth it. Thank you much for the story, it was very interesting and fun reading. :)

Glad you liked it Mike. The troubles I had getting there are pretty much typical for me. My life is just like that. :)

Hey, here we go...this is what "Best Of Show" included. E-on is definitely in the list. :) it also states that Vue is "currently the only OS X app of its kind to support multiple processors and OpenGL previews. " Pretty cool. :)

nathany ( ) posted Sat, 12 January 2002 at 11:37 AM

Thanks for the article Kate. But what happened to all the photos you were going to take? I guess that means Bryce 5 doesn't support multiple processors - yet another reason to use Vue. - n8

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Sat, 12 January 2002 at 11:58 AM

well it turns out I only had room for one on the floppy in the camera and the extra discs in the camera bag turned out to be full of hubby's stuff. :( and nope, Bryce 5 doesn't support dual processors g

Thanks very much for sharing that, Kate! Glad you were able to make it. Really enjoyed reading your tale, and I love the picture -- great shirt and excellent background! ;D Mike, thanks for that link. Cool to see E-on in such good company! :)
