Does anybody out there know where I can find, either through purchase or for free, laughing and smiliing faces or the p4 woman and p4 man?? Any info greatly appreciated, thanks...

Paul, I once looked for such a thing, to no avail. Posette and Dork get pretty goofy looking when you try to make them laugh or smile. ;) But you know what? The DAZ Vicki 2 and Michael 2 models for are enormous improvements over anything previous or since, in all respects, but especially where facial expressions are concerned, so you might want to consider that instead of struggling to make P&D look good smiling and laughing. Both Vicki 2 and Michael 2 come with new heads, attached to old bodies, as well, meaning for example, the Vicki 2 character file comes as a whole, but also you get a version with just the V2 head attached to the P4 Posette body. The same goes with the Michael 2 character. They did that so you can use clothing designed for P4 characters, but have the facial features of the millenium folk at the same time. Pretty good idea, IMHO...

Well, thanks Mike, that explains a lot of things... :) anyway, I got them to laugh, but as you say, it leaves somethign to be desired.. maybe it'll work since it's not a close up and only the head is showing.. .I gotta see how much they want for vicki and michael... I tell you, after a while, this whole 3d thing becomes an extortion racket.. :) You want this to happen, you gotta pay so much extra, etc... :)

Look at the bottom of the Michael 2.0 and Victoria 2.0 pages at daz3d.com - there are LE versions that are free to download. "For a freely distributable Vicki 2 P4 cr2, download the Vicki 2 P4 LE installer below: The Vicki 2 P4 figure contains the Victoria 2 head morphs but not the body morphs." I've never tried these, so I don't know if they'll work for you - but it's worth a shot.

I don't think the Vicky/Mike LE versions will work unless you already have the Vicky/Mike geometries. The LE versions are so that you can fix up characters using Vicky or Mike, and then distribute them (like free stuff) without infringing on DAZ's copyright. Paul, the best smiles for P4 are the more subtle ones...avoid anything too extreme. The poor dork is never going to do a real belly laugh without looking like some kind of monster. =:)

Hey Nathany, thanks for that info... I just need the head, so maybe it'll work... I'll let you know... But you say Varian, I still gotta shell out the dought for these 2 characters?? :) Oh well, let's see what happens, I might be able to do it with just the p4's, since it's not close up...

Yeah Paul, you do have to buy the Vicki and/or Michael characters to make it work. Simply buying or downloading Poser Character (*.cr2) files won't do it, because they need the "bmilwom.obj" and "bmilman.obj" .obj files in a geometries folder in Poser's folder. When you first buy the millenium people, what you see is the cr2 files, but the .obj files are installed as well. The cr2 files will not work without the obj geometries in the folder it's looking for them in. Basically all those cr2 files are, are "boned" versions of the .obj models.

Okay. I see. Sorry for getting your hopes up Paul.

Well, thanks Mike for all that info... I'll see if and when I invest in little vicki and see if I can get away with this for this project with good ole posette.. And nathany, I figured a company like daz is out to make a profit so it doesn't surprise me... :) But hey, they do a good job and it's not that expensive... And certainly tehre is enough outside support for these characters...
